Before training with Mike, I was very overweight and out of shape. I knew that I wanted to lose weight and gain some some strength, but I had very little direction on how I was going to accomplish this. Mike gave me tips on how to eat better, showed me a cardio plan that was right for me, and opened my eyes to a number of different ways to gain muscle.

After training with Mike for only two months, I found a couple of different workout routines that have worked very well for me. He showed me how to gain both upper and lower body strength very effectively.

When my two months of training with Mike were up, I decided to apply what Mike had taught me and work out on my own. Mike gave me the know-how and the motivation to apply his methods to my own workouts. Since I started working out 6 months ago, I have lost 30 pounds, and gained quite a bit of muscle.

I am now very motivated to go to the gym five or six times per week. Working out has become an addiction. Because I work out, I am much more motivated to eat better and stay healthy. I have a new sense of energy throughout the day, and I feel like working out helps to combat the daily stress in my life. I know that this is just the beginning of my transformation into a person that is fit and in-shape. I also know that I deserve the credit for pushing myselft to continue to go the gym. However, Mike deserves all of the credit for motivating me in the beginning and giving me the knowledge and inspiration that I desperately needed.

Personal Training Gets Results!

I hired a trainer because my work outs had become stagnent. My goals were to lose 10-15 lbs of fat, drop a pant size, and build strength. Mike had me on a plan to safely loose two pounds per week while increasing my weights 5% each session. I consistently worked toward and met or exceeded my goals with Mike’s help. My pant size went from a tight 34 to a loose 33, I went from 182lbs to 168lbs and became a lot stronger learning to use weights in ways I never had before.

Working with a trainer was beneficial because it taught me how to get the most out of my work out, how to track my performance and how to safely reach goals combining nutrition with exercise. In addition, having Mike as a trainer was great because he is very professional, personable and educated so you know you are getting solid information that will make a lasting difference. When we started I had never squated before, and now can easily squat 190lbs and am not intimitaded by doing bench presses with free weights.

Personal Training Gets Results!

About two years ago I went shopping and found these great pants for work. The only problem was they didn’t have my size. They did have a smaller size and I thought I’d lose a few pounds and would be able to fit into them. Two years went by and I never wore them. So finally I decided to get a trainer. I was tired of having no energy and being self-conscious about the way I looked.

I began working out with Mike just before my 30th birthday. Mike was a perfect fit for me because he was able to keep me motivated without acting like a drill sergeant. We worked out three times a week for about two months. After two months I lost about three pounds.

Naturally you would think that it would be a disappointment but the truth is I was shocked that I had only lost three pounds because all of my clothes were loose and no longer fit. I went from a size 8 to a size 6.

I went into my closet one morning to look for clothes to wear to work but everything I had was too big and then I came across those pants I had forgotten about. I put them on and they were actually a little loose. I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy about putting on a pair of pants until the next month. I lost a couple more pounds and I pulled out a pair of size 4 jeans that had lived in the bottom of my dresser drawer for the last three years and they fit!!!

Don’t let the scale fool you. Weight isn’t everything. I have so much more energy, I’m more confident, and I rediscovered a new wardrobe in my closet. Getting a trainer was a great decision but having Mike as my trainer was the most important and best decision I made.

Personal Training Gets Results!

Before training with Mike, I had noticed my body weight and lifting weight had reached a plateau. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t seem to break past it. Looking for help, Mike and I sat down and discussed my current diet and lifting schedules. I let him know that I was looking to maintain my current body fat percentage, while packing on about ten pounds of muscle weight.

After two weeks of training (meeting with Mike twice a week and working out once on my own) I noticed an immediate four pound gain. All said and done after 24 sessions training with Mike, I gained over 20 pounds of muscle weight and maintained the same body fat percentage that I had started with.

Nearly a year later I am working out on my own using the diet and lifting knowledge Mike has shown me, and have continued to make appreciable gains. I am very happy with the results and knowledge I have received from this training experience and know I couldn’t have made the same with out his help.
