Chinese Cuisine – Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables

You can serve this recipe as either an accompaniment to a meat dish or as a vegetarian main course.

Ingredients:
2 oz mange tout
1 carrot, sliced
4 oz Chinese leaves, shredded
4 oz bean sprouts
2 oz button mushrooms, sliced
2 oz canned bamboo shoots, drained
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp caster sugar
1 tbsp oyster sauce
dash of sesame oil

Method:
Heat the oil in the wok and add the carrots, stir fry for 1 min before adding the mange tout and Chinese leaves. Continue to stir fry for 2 min. Next add the bean sprouts, mushrooms and bamboo shoots and stir fry for another minute. Add the salt, sugar, oyster sauce and stir in thoroughly. Add the sesame oil and serve immediately.
