Favorite Peanut Butter Cookies and Bars

Peanut butter cookies are among the favorites of kids and grownups alike. The wonderful smell that fills the kitchen when they are baking will have everyone wanting to be the first in line when the cookies are done. Peanut butter cookies will be a favorite in your family.

Peanut Butter Blossoms

  • 1 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening or 1 stick of butter
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

Mix all the ingredients and take teaspoon sizes of dough and shape into balls. Roll balls into sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 degrees F.for 10 to 12 minutes. Immediately after baking, top each cookie with a chocolate chip. Press down firmly so cookie cracks around edge.

Peanut Butter Cookies

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 cups flour

Cream butter and sugar. Add peanut butter and egg and then vanilla. Fold in dry ingredients. Roll dough into 1 inch balls, flatten with a fork dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 8 to 10 minutes.

Kathy’s Peanut Butter Cookies

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Add sugar to mayonnaise and peanut butter; add egg and vanilla, mixing well. Add flour, soda and salt. Blend and mix well. This mixture will be crumbly. Form into small balls and press onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 10 to 12 minutes. Don’t over bake.

Crunchy Peanut Butter Cookies

Heat:

  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Dissolve sugar.

Add:

  • 2 cup crunchy peanut butter

Stir Well.

Remove from heat and add:

  • 5 cup Special K or cornflake crumbs

Mix well. Spread this mixture into long pan; let set. Melt in double boiler: 1 package each chocolate and butterscotch chips. Spread over first mixture; let set and cut.

Sally’s Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • about 48 chocolate kisses

Cream eggs and sugar. Add peanut butter. Add dry ingredients, milk and vanilla. Shape the dough into balls and roll in sugar. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375 degrees F. for 10-12 minutes. As soon as they are removed from oven, add and press slightly a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.

Yummy Peanut Butter chocolate filled cookies

  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter

Filling for Cookies:

  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar

Cream egg and sugar and peanut butter. Add dry ingredients and vanilla. Roll dough into balls and flatten. Add filling in center of each cookie. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 7 to 9 minutes.

Heavenly Peanut Butter Bars

  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2 1/3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups crushed graham crackers
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Melt butter or margarine; add and mix in the peanut butter and crushed graham crackers and powdered sugar. Press into 9 x 13 inch pan. Melt chocolate chips and evenly spread over peanut butter mixture. Refrigerate.
