Google Page Rank Tool Be Smart – Get Equipped

What exactly is Google Page Rank Tool? When Google displays search results it relies on an algorithm that assigns a numerical weight to all the elements of a hyperlinked set. The purpose of these calculations is to gauge the importance of those values when compared to the set.

In 1998, Sergey Brin and Lawrence Page published a paper called “The Anatomy of a Large-Scale Hypertextual Web Search Engine. The name “PageRank” is a Google trademark and the name PageRank is a result of having been developed by Lawrence Page. The whole process has been registered with the US patent office as U.S. Patent 6,285,999.

Google, however does not own the patent. Stanford University has been assigned the patent. Google has exclusive rights to this patent which paid for this with 1.8 million shares. The shares were sold for $336 million in 2005.

The Google Page Tool / Its Brilliant Birth

The Google Page Rank Tool was developed by Lawrence Page at Stanford University. Additional development was later done by Sergey Brin. This was done as part of a research project exploring the possibilities of a new kind of search engine.

The project resulted to a functional prototype which they called Google. Page and Brin then formed Google Inc. Although many factors are used to rank Google search results, PageRank is still the core of Google’s Web Search tools.
