Guitar chords – learn the C major

Elvis Elvis

The next free online guitar lesson will teach you the C Chord. This chord along with G and D (which you will learn shortly) will enable you to play literally hundreds of songs.

Lets take a look at the structure. Guitar chords learn the C major

Looking at the chord diagram, you notice the symbols “x and o” on top of the diagram. The “x” usually means that the string is not played (or this also can mean the string could be played muted or muffled. This is at the disgression of the guitar player and helps you develope your own playing style).

The “o” on the diagram means the string is played as part of the chord but there is no finger on it.

Here one of my students plays it on the guitar fret.
