I have two large casement windows on either side of a wood burning fireplace. It is in a room that is a 2 story peak. It is the family/t.v. room and I need to have privacy from my neighbors at night but
I do like to have the light during the day. The house is a traditional home and I decorate casual traditional. Any suggestions on how to dress these windows.
Hi Judy
You could simply fit wood curtain rods over each window. Then hang a single curtain panel from each rod.
Each curtain would hang away from the wood burning stove when open. It would look good to dress them back into a large tassel tie backs that co-ordinates with the colors in your curtains and room.
Another option would be to get some fabric roman shades made to fit your windows. These would give your windows a none fussy look. The extra cost of the roman shade could be balanced against the fact that you won’t need to buy a curtain rod.
I hope that gives you some food for thought.
Best regards
Lee
