Introduction to the Ishayas Ascension
Before learning how to meditate with the techniques of the Ishayas Ascension, here is a short introduction, beginning with two major benefits.
The meditation techniques of the Ishayas’ Ascension can be used anywhere, anytime with eyes open to defuse tense situations such as; conflict with others, road rage, fear of any kind.
After ascending with your eyes closed during daily sessions, you will feel refreshed and revitalized. Ascending for twenty minutes before bedtime gives you a deeper rest than the deepest sleep at night.
What does ascension mean?
The word, ascend means to rise above, to transcend, or move beyond. In the case of the Ishayas’ Ascension, we refer to ascending as moving beyond the mind that is constantly busy with thoughts of the past and the future.
We use the term Ascendant to refer to the Source of All That Is, or God, or Universal Mind. There are many words and phrases, in many languages that attempt to describe That which cannot accurately be described.
In the West it has been called The peace that passeth understanding. In the East, it is often called Enlightenment or Nirvana.
What you call it doesn’t matter. Your experience of it is everything.
No belief required…
The profound benefits of Ascension are enjoyed by people from different walks of life, nationalities and religions. Age is no barrier to learning how to ascend. I met a four year old boy who enjoys using his ascension attitudes, and several people over 65, whose lives have been transformed by the Ishayas’ Ascension.
It requires no belief whatsoever. In fact you don’t have to believe a word I say here for Ascension to enhance your life. Just experiencing it is the proof in the pudding. Ascension gives you what you want.
What do you want?
If you were granted just one wish, what would you ask for?
The most common answer among adults who attend introductory sessions is peace.
It may not be their first response to the question, but eventually after asking for the usual material possessions such as, more money, a bigger house, a new car, or an exotic holiday on a tropical island, or emotional healing such as less stress, almost everyone agrees that ultimately it is more peace and joy that they want.
Buying stuff is fun, and initially creates a high degree of excitement and happiness.
BUT, how long does it last? As you know, the novelty of a brand new toy quickly fades away, and soon you are looking for something more.
But why settle for fleeting happiness when you can have more – sustainable awesome peace and joy whenever you choose from the unchanging stillness within you. Happiness is a natural result of Ascension.
Accessing the peace within…
The truth of who you are, your divine magnificence, is hiding beneath layers and layers of emotional stress that has accumulated in your central nervous system. Regular practice of meditation naturally reduces stress.
The good news is that it doesn’t take as long to unpack your emotional baggage as it took to pack it – your entire lifetime.
Let’s start at the beginning…
If you consider the amazing potential of a baby’s mind, it begins to make sense of how we lost touch with our connection to pure infinite wisdom, pure unconditional love.
As a baby you lived fully in the present moment. Your remarkable mind was free of thoughts of the past or the future. Unlike adults, you quickly and easily learned a complex language and how to use your limbs to pick up objects and crawl, and climb, and walk.
With no inhibitions you innocently explored your new world – a constant and awesome adventure.
Your parents, or primary caretakers, were God-like. Your siblings and other significant people in your life were everything to you – like life mentors.
You learned how to relate to the world around you by adopting their beliefs, values and behavior patterns.
Like a sponge your mind absorbed and stored away in your subconscious mind your impressions of every experience in your life.
Childish innocence diminishes over time…
Gradually, as your storehouse of memories grew, and thoughts of the past and future captured your attention, an illusion of separation from Source was created.
The good news is that we are never separated from Source. It remains deep within us and easily accessible through meditation. When we function from the peace of the stillness within our innocence is restored.
In other words, innocence is pure consciousness awareness in the present moment without beliefs and judgments.
Experiencing the magic of the present moment…
Everyone randomly and occasionally experiences what American Psychologist, Abraham Mazlow, coined as the peak experience.
It is that moment when time seems to stand still and you lose your self in the moment. As you gaze into the eyes of a baby, or suddenly come upon a beautiful blazing red sunset, or something equally as awesome.
In that moment you are as a child; completely innocent and alert in the present moment. That is the experience that we are all trying to re-capture.
The Ishayas’ Ascension gives your mind what it wants…
Your mind naturally seeks its source of true happiness. To accommodate the mind we want to provide it with a vehicle to easily move inward to its Source of pure thought and happiness.
Ascension attitudes are vehicles that;
- quiet your mind;
- clear a channel through stress that has accumulated over time in your central nervous system, and
- move your awareness inward to the stillness within.
The attitudes are based on uplifting emotions of Praise, Gratitude and Love. Even just thinking the word Praise accesses a very deep still place within you. The mind then just naturally moves inward. You don’t have to do anything except think the Ascension Attitude, let go and allow whatever happens naturally, happen.
Once your mind activity has slowed down, your awareness rests in the stillness. Because mind and body are one, the body begins to rest and do what it is does best. It begins to heal.
Sleep was intended to provide healing time for the body, but in these times of so much stress even sleep is not enough to release all of the stress and heal the body.
Ascension gives the body whatever it needs. It provides a deeper rest than the deepest sleep at night.
The body in its healing mode, becomes active, which then causes the mind to become active and thoughts begin rising to the surface level of the mind.
As soon as we become aware of thoughts in the mind, we simply think an Ascension Attitude and the cycle begins again.
Stress dissolves from the central nervous system…
With the introduction (thinking) of each technique, a pathway is created through the accumulated stress directly into the Ascendant. So the more ascending you do, the more stress is dissolved. Naturally, with the relieving of stress – the ego dissolves as well.
Easy does it. If you can think, you can meditate with the Ishayas’ Ascension attitudes.
What’s the catch?
The mind, as remarkable as it is, is also the greatest obstacle to attaining higher consciousness. The ego, which is just a bundle of thoughts, tempts your awareness out of the present moment with self-limiting and self-destructive negative self talk.
Your personal stories of woes of the past and fears of the future are nothing but ego trips where you function from a state of unconsciousness.
The Ishayas’ Ascension meditation techniques move your awareness beyond the little ego mind, which seems to fight like the devil to engage you in useless and destructive thinking patterns.
A prerequisite of maintaining peace and joy in the present moment is a quiet mind, a mind that is free of thoughts of the past or the future.
Try this powerful, easy and effective exercise that will teach you how to watch your thoughts, slow them down and even stop them. Those who claim that we can not stop thoughts moving in the mind have not tried this exercise.
And, please if you have any trouble with it, remember to contact me and I’ll guide you through it via Skype.
