Learning how to skimboard is very easy but requires a lot of practice.

5 easy steps to skimboarding

1.)Purchase a skimboard, go to a sandy beach with some shorebreak and minimal rocks.

2.)Once you get to the beach stand just above where the white wash of the biggest waves come up. After a big wave starts to receed (still a thin film of water), start running diagonally towards the water at an angle.

3.)After you get some speed slide the board onto the wet sand. If thrown right the board will start sliding. If not it will stop dead in its tracks.

4.)Now jump onto the board as quickly as possible. Caution-this is where all the falling takes place.

5.)Ride the board and enjoy a nice skimboarding ride.

Advice:-don’t give up after your first try. SKimboarding takes practice,(and a lot of falling) but once you get it, its a lot of good fun.
