Would it be great to learn some Japanese terms? Maybe this could come in handle.

  • Ohayo gozaimasu – Good Morning
  • Konnichiwa – Good Afternoon
  • Konbanwa – Good Evening
  • Sayonara – Good bye
  • Irrasshaimase – Welcome
  • Itadakimasu – Let eat, grace, bon appétit
  • Arigato – Thank you

  • Yoroshiku onegaishimasu – How do you do and please treat me kindly
  • O-Shibori – Hot or Cold towel to wipe hands

  • Tobiko – Flying fish roe(eggs) which is red-orange has mild smokey/salt flavor, but you can find them in other colored flavors: black-(squid’s ink), pale yellow/orange-(yuzu), and green-(wasabi).
  • Masago – Smelt roe looks similar in color and flavor to tobiko roe but smaller.
  • Ikura – Salmon Roe eggs
  • Tempura – Classic Japanese fried batter vegetables or seafood’s.
