Tammy and I had lunch today in a wonderful cozy little cafe restaurant called Lola’s located in Nixa. I’ve passed by this secluded little converted home before but assumed it was primarily a pastry shop.

We were seated right away by the friendly staff and soaked in the lime-green and pink walls for a little while before ordering. It was a bit loud since it was lunch time but was very clean and comfortable but a far cry from the usual fast food restaurants.

We ordered the Chicken Caesar Club Clabatta sandwich. Wow, what a meal! The bread was served warm and the chicken tasted fresh and tender. We had ours with a tasty ceasar dressing, lettuce, tomato, onion with a pickle spear and chips on the side.

Tammy recommended the chocolate cake for dessert but I choose instead the Toasted Coconut Cream Dessert Cake. Mmmmm, talk about a little slice of heaven! I love coconut cake anyway but this was really something special. The cream-cheese frosting really makes the cake along with the diced pecans and moist yellow cake.

You can’t go wrong with Lola’s! The living room décor will relax you and the fresh roasted coffee will satisfy you. We both had lunch including desserts and beverages for less than 23 dollars not including tip qualifying it for the Branson-area-fun.com blue ribbon award!

Lola’s is located at 110 N. Fort St in Nixa. You usually make the drive from either Springfield or Branson in less than 40 minutes so getting there for the lunch menu should be easy.

Lola’s is open for breakfast from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for lunch. You can also call ahead at 417-725-9225.

Don’t forget to tell Robin that Richard and Tammy sent you!
