Low Carb Breakfast Recipes

It’s hard to find a variety of low carb breakfast recipes, especially if you’re trying to avoid wheat and other grains. My all-time favorite low carb breakfast is a steaming plate of my gooey, cheesy scrambled eggs.

This dish has about 2.5g of net carbs.

Cheesy Scrambled Eggs

2 strips of bacon
1 Tbsp diced onions
2 eggs, beaten
1 oz whole milk mozzarella cheese cut in pieces or shredded, Swiss also works well
salt and pepper to taste

Low Carb Breakfast Recipes

Fry the bacon (I microwave mine for 2 minutes) and crumble when cool, then set aside. Spray your skillet with cooking spray, add the onions and lightly salt them. Saute on medium high heat until soft and browned. Turn the heat down to medium.

Add the beaten eggs, cheese, crumbled bacon, and salt and pepper*. Cook it all to your desired doneness and eat.

*It may be purely psychological, but I think my eggs taste better when I salt and pepper them while they’re cooking.
