Monda is a small village a few minutes drive past La Canada Shopping Centre and Ojen. At the top of it is a castle “Monda Castle”. I had been to Monda in the past but didnt like the look of the hill up to the Castle. But this time after driving so much in Spain we went up to see it. The hill is very very steep but its only a short hill and takes a couple of minutes.

The Castle is beautiful and on Sundays they have Sunday lunch in the lovely decorated restaurant and this Sunday there was a belly dancer as the entertainment. The castle is also a hotel and there is an outside pool although, I did get abit dizzy looking over the edge!

Getting to Monda is about 40 minutes from Malaga Airport. At La Canada turn off if you continue up the hill and follow the signs for Monda. Its

Also in Monda is the Marbella Gun and Country Club that has a restaurant, pool, bar and numerous other activities incuding, quad bikes, clay pigeon shooting, archery and much more. If you are someone that would rather be doing something exciting than sitting by the pool, then this is a good place for you.
