Monkey bread is a fun treat as a snack or dessert.

The classic monkey bread recipe calls for pecans, but of course you can use chopped almonds instead!

You can also layer the biscuits with jam and fruit – strawberries, apricots or raspberries.

And of course there’s chocolate… when isn’t there?

Ingredients:

  • 4 tubes of refrigerated biscuits
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Additional Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Evaporated Milk
  • 1.5 cups Chopped Pecans
  • 2 tsp. Cinnamon
Monkey Bread Recipe

Preheat oven to 350°F

Cut biscuit rolls into quarters. Combine 3/4 cup white sugar with cinnamon.

Roll biscuit quarters in the cinnamon/sugar mixture.

Layer the biscuits and the pecans in a cake pan or baking dish (bundt pans work best).

In a saucepan, slowly bring milk, remaining 3/4 cup white sugar, brown sugar, and butter to a boil. Remove from heat. Pour over biscuits in the pan. Bake for approximately 30 minutes.
