Mummajo’s rawly red rascal dressing

My boys and I had fun coming up with rawly red rascal. We enjoy naming our newest raw food recipes. Or concoctions, as they like to call our meals.

No two meals are the same in our home, no matter how often I write a recipe down – we love to create and try new things.

I encourage you to give it a shot too.

Let’s get started.

Okay, lets get going…

  • 1 small beetroot
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 3 Tbsp flaxseed (soaked in water)
  • 2 Tbsp black sesame seed
  • 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil,
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 lemon – juice
  • water approx 2-3 Tbsp

and my favourite ingredient

  • 1/2 tsp Himalayan Harvest, volcanic black salt. Natural food seasoning. mmmm.

How to prepare this delight?

Basically, chuck it all in a blender and blend it up until smooth.

Add this to your salad, or spread it on your sushi wrap, or on your sandwich, or use it as a dip.

This is fabulously yummy. And it has a gloriously vibrant red colour.

Note: If you don’t have a blender, and perhaps can’t afford one, we discovered (cause I blew up my cheap blender!) that a stick blender will work for now. Coming soon though, my review of my all time bestest, most favourite blender.
