Official languages in the European Union

Elvis Elvis

There are 23 official languages in the European Union (EU) but many other dialects  are also used, some only spoken.   English is slowly emerging as a common language, however, when traveling to  any European destination, we advise that you find out the languages used and  learn a few tourist phrases, especially in places off the beaten track.   It is good to have a basic command of some basic phases of the local languages in case you run into some older Europeans who do not have a command of that language.
