Planning a Birthday Party

Birthdays….Are possibly the most important day in a person’s life.

As people age, planning a birthday party has more importance to the people around them then the person who is actually celebrating the birthday…

Whether you are planning a birthday party, sweet 16 party, 19th birthday party, 21st birthday party, 30th, 50th, 50th, 60th, 65th, 70th, or any other for that matter, there are many things to consider.

The first consideration is the situation. Will it be a surprise party, or one that the celebrant will know about (more ideas later about each of these)

The second consideration is the location. Will it be at someone’s house, or at a private hall, or even a remote distant location?

The third consideration is the amount of space at the location. How many people can you invite to not overcrowd the room.

The fourth consideration is who to invite. Hopefully you have an idea on how many people you can invite, based on the space you have. If that is the case, it is almost time to generate an invitation list.

The fifth consideration is food. Eating is an integral part of any party, whether it be snacks or a full meal.

The sixth consideration is drink. Will this be a party with alcohol, or just pop and other beverages.

The seventh consideration is a theme. Do you want to have a theme to your party? Does the birthday boy like to go fishing? Maybe that could be a neat theme (I hope you see the idea)

The eighth consideration is activities/games. Will your guests play games, watch TV, or just hang around and talk..

The ninth consideration is entertainment/music. Do you want to hire a Disc Jockey, musician, or just play the radio. Entertainment adds a great ambiance to any party, and should not be taken lightly. Your guests will remember if they were bored, but will spread the word if the party is interesting and fun!

The tenth consideration is budget. This will play an active part in all the other considerations, as not all budgets can tailor to the nine considerations listed above.
