Playing tennis in Puerto Rico

The sport of tennis is very popular among Puerto Ricans and it is also taught in many schools. The government has a large public sport and recreation complex, with more than twenty tennis courts, in the very heart of San Juan. Known as Central Park, the sports complex has been remodeled in recent years and it’s used to promote physical fitness among young and old.

It’s located just minutes away from the old city and the Financial District. Its landscaped grounds are the ideal setting for a day of tennis and physical activity. It also hosts international sporting events successfully every once in a while.

Over one hundred tennis courts are available at all major hotels and resorts facilities throughout the Island, as most of our tourists love to play tennis in the warm Caribbean weather.

One can find courts near the ocean, close to forests, rivers and other natural monuments.
