Rods in roman blind for dormer window

I’m making a roman blind for a dormer window. Fine for the rectangular part of the window but struggling with the triangular side windows.

Should the rods travel horizontal with the top of the window or sloped with the hem?

Hi Anne

The rods in your triangular roman blinds should run true horizontal. So as you move up the back of your roman blind. the rods would get wider at each stage.

Normally you would have what is called a weight bar in the bottom of a roman blind. In your triangular blind this may not work depending on how much it slopes at the bottom. So I would just sew in a couple of penny weights at the point. this will help keep it in shape.
