The Bern airport, Flughafen Bern-Belp, is located a few miles outside the city just west of the highway leading to Thun. Dating back to 1929, the airport handles over 200,000 passengers a year at facilities considerably smaller that those in Geneva and Zurich.

Darwin Airlines serves Bern, Geneva, and Lugano with international flights to London and Rome.

Regional airlines displaying the Team Lufthansa logo are Augsburg Airways, Cimber Air, Cirrus Airlines, Contact Air, and Rhine Valley Flight.
