The Hobbit

“His fire belched forth! The hall smoked, he shook the great and mighty mountain to its roots. He thrust his head in vain at the little hole and then coiling his length together, roaring like thunder underground, he sped from his deep lair through its great door, into the huge passages of the mountain-palace and up towards the front gate”

Did you enjoy that? I hope so, it’s a passage from The Hobbit, Chapter 12-Inside information. It tells of our brave young adventurer Bilbo Bagins as he spies on the terrifiyng yet breathtaking dragon Smaug. As the dragon awakes from its slumber it smells fresh air from a tunnel in the wall and as he turns round to investigate he notices that a small piece of his massive treasure trove had been stolen. Immediately after realizing this he flared up into a mighty rage and the rest just wrights its self.

The Hobbit

That’s the wonderful thing about J.R.R. Tolkien, you just need that first little push and your hooked, just that little bit of magic to get you on your way and the rest as they say is history…or at least I think that’s what they say. Some people though are afraid, afraid to step out there door or do anything unexpected; life’s to short, grab the moment. When Bilbo Bagins sat down that one day reading his mail in his garden as a big tall looming figure came along and started what could only be described one of the most strange and queer conversations, but none the less one that would start a friendship to last for many years I bet that he didn’t regret walking out his door, taking that leap…

So if you have been enticed and intrigued by this, then go on take that leap, and even if you haven’t then still do because I can barely do J.R.R. Tolkien justice but once you get that first push, that first little bit of Tolkien magic then I know that you will be gripped…grrr..go on take your own leap…
