The Secrets of Retirement

Elvis Elvis

Retirement is changing. Most of us will live longer than any previous generation. The thought of spending 30 years of doing nothing in retirement is going by the wayside. It’s time to change our mind-set about how to spend all those extra years of life.

Why would you be satisfied with a little out of retirement if you are capable of so much more. Our purpose on this planet is the advancement and unfoldment of life. To gain all that we can from the beauty and richness of life. To be content with less is a sin.

You naturally wants to become all that you are capable of becoming. This desire to is a part of our inner being.

The Secrets of Retirement

You cannot help wanting to be all that you can be.

Success in life is becoming what you want to be. There are 3 motives for which we live.

• We live for the body

• We live for the mind

• And, we live for the soul

No one of these is better or holier than the other. All are equally desirable and no one of these can live fully if either of the others are ignored. There are consequences if we live solely for the body and deny both the mind and soul. Real life means the complete expression of all that we can give forth through our body, mind and soul.

We cannot live fully in body without good food and warm shelter. We need freedom from excessive toil. Rest and recreation are necessary for our physical life.

We cannot live fully in mind without books and time to study them, without opportunity for travel and observation, or without intellectual companionship.

To live fully in mind we must have intellectual recreations, and surround ourselves with art and beauty.

To live fully in soul, man must have love. Our highest happiness is found when we can bestow benefits on those we love. Love finds it most natural and spontaneous expression in giving.

It is the natural impulse of life to seek to live more. It is the nature of intelligence to seek to learn more. We then find full life for our body, develop our mind, and unfold our soul.
