Top Nature Sites in Puerto Rico – Guajataca Forest

The Guajataca Forest is located in the northwestern region of the Island and is ecologically classified as humid subtropical. A total of 44 kilometers of pathways create a wonderful network through which to discover the thick vegetation and special fauna that inhabit it.

A natural ecosystem known as the Wind Cave is of extraordinary biological value, and inside you’ll find an assortment of stalactites and stalagmites, columns and other eccentric formations similar to needles or flowers.

From an observation tower you can view the entire expanse of the Guajataca Forest, which includes a lake and recreational areas.

The unusual topography has a rare beauty due primarily to the impressive hummocks that predominate in the area.
