UK Cuisine – Asparagus with Parma Ham Recipe

The asparagus in this recipe is a wonderfully flavoured vegetable which is best eaten in season.

1 bundle of Asparagus, prepared
1 clove of garlic, crushed
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
4 slices of Parma Ham

Preheat the oven at 200°C. Split the Asparagus into two bundles; wrap 2 slices of Parma Ham around the middle of each bundle. Place on a baking sheet and sprinkle with the garlic, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Drizzle with the oil and balsamic vinegar and place in the over for 10 – 12 min or until the Asparagus is tender and the Parma Ham is crispy. Serve as a light supper or starter.
