A hand in Texas Holdem consists of five cards. The following shows how hands are listed from worst to best.

  • High Card- When you are unable to make any of the hands below, your highest card determines your hand. If there is a tie, you move on to the next card to determine the winner. In the example below your high card would be a Queen, or “Queen High”.
