What Is A Baby Shower?

Having a baby shower is having a party with a purpose: to welcome baby!

The guests have the perfect excuse to get together and the mother-to-be is presented with the necessities that little tyke could need. It’s a great combination!

The welcoming party can take place any time, before or after the baby is born. Whichever time is more convenient for the mother.

For example, sometimes parent’s like to wait and see what the gender of their infant is after they are born. In this case, it would be hard to know what color to crochet the baby gift. So, either generic gifts are given before the birth or the party is held after the new arrival.

Sometimes traveling distance between friends or relatives may require that the party is held whenever everyone can be in the same place at the same time.
