Why you should visit the Lindeman Island?

Access to Lindeman Island is by air (Lindeman has it’s own airstrip) or launch, from either Shute Harbour or from Mackay. The Club Med launch transfer from Hamilton Island takes about 60min and the same length of time from Shute Harbour. There is a limousine service from Proserpine Airport to Shute Harbour also available which takes about 30mins. Alternatively you can fly direct to Hamilton Island and then transfer by helicopter or by air taxi.

Lindeman Island is situated in 690 hectares of National Park and covered by more than 20kms of beautifully maintained bush walking tracks, which take you to some of the islands most scenic parts. Take a leisurely walk through Butterfly Valley or climb the 212 metres of Mt. Oldfield to enjoy the panoramic views of Pentecost, Whitsunday and Hamilton Islands.

With seven beautiful beaches, (Gap Beach being the best pick for snorkelling) don’t be surprised to see humpback whales from the shoreline and visits from dolphins. Fantastic scenery, an abundant birdlife and surrounded by tiny islands all waiting to be explored.

Accommodation is with Club Med and all rooms have views. There’s no shortage of things to see and do on Lindeman either, and all the famous Club Med activities apply. There’s even a 9 hole golf course on the cliff tops. As well as all the usual activities you get with most island resorts, here on Lindeman you can also partake in,golf, archery,tennis, fitness classes, trapeze and water aerobics.

And if windsurfing or sailings your game, then you’ll be pleased to know that there’s an instructor on hand also and it’s all free.  All is included in you package price with Club Med and they even have a kid’s club to cater for 2 to 13 year olds. The littlies, 2 to 3 year olds are also well cared for but a surcharge does apply and is based on availability.
